I have two questions re RFI spec. Can you please help us to understand?
Question:
1. May you clarify the requirement: "performance min. 6.5 TFlop/s per server". Shall we consider it as peak theoretical performance (Rpeak) for the server?
1. If so, is it correct to calculate it like: Rpeak = CPU_base_freq*core_num*CPU_num_per_server*op_per_clock. (e.g. op_per_clock = 32 for Intel)?
Response of the contracting authority:
Yes, this is the Rpeak (or maximal theoretical performance) of the CPU.
Yes, the formula for the performance is correct.
The frequency can be Turbo Frequency if the solution allows to keep it under constant long-term load.
Yes, the expected performance for an Intel CPU core is 32 Double precision operations per clock.
Question: 2. May you clarify the requirement: "min. 450 GB/s bandwidth to CPU/socket memory". Shall we consider it as max result of STREAM benchmark for the server?
Response of the contracting authority:
This is the expected maximal (theoretical as defined by the memory controller and used DRAM DIMMs) throughput.
